What Is Therapy Like?

Psychotherapy is a collaborative process. The first few sessions will be spent getting to know each other, clarifying your presenting concerns, identifying a formal diagnosis (if there is one) and discussing what might be a helpful course of action.

I believe that my ability to be empathic, genuine and non-judgmental is a necessary part of the therapeutic process. Under these conditions, you are more likely to explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences in a new and deeper way. This process often leads to a level of insight and increased awareness that is essential to living a more meaningful and fulfilling life.
